We recently added up how many years’ experience the team had working in education and it is something we are very proud of and wanted to share with you. Our field team alone have 79 years of HR service to the education sector. They share experience of working with unions, local authorities, schools, Academies and Multi Academy Trusts and businesses. It means that they understand the complexities of HR in relation to schools, academies and trusts. HR within education differs from commercial HR, as there are added complexities with conditions of service, safeguarding, pay and conditions. Our team have extensive knowledge of both local and national terms and conditions, how lucky we are to have them all.
They are also supported by our wider HR team, who also have extensive experience of working with the education sector and altogether as a team we achieve a combined total of 169 years of experience in education. So, we thought it might be nice to introduce some of our team to you, so you get to know a bit more about the person you get to speak to and the knowledge and experience they have behind them.
Today, I would like to introduce you to Lucy. Lucy Hutton is the Head of Business Development and an active HR Consultant. She looks after client relations, communications, consultancy projects, new product launches, conferences and training.
As an experienced HR Consultant, Lucy carries out service reviews and welcome meetings as well as supporting her own schools and businesses. She loves to help schools strategically approach restructures, leadership reviews and improvements.
She’s has been working in HR for education since 1997. She started her career at Kirklees School Effectiveness service, moving to Serco Education Bradford before joining FusionHR.
Lucy’s role also includes undertaking HR project work in the field including restructures, disciplinary hearings, large-scale HR audits and leadership reviews.
As part of the team, Lucy has helped to shape the ongoing work we do to develop specific services and HR software for schools, academies and trusts.
