We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks with lots of developments here at Fusion. We have three new starters we would like to introduce.
Val Dyson has joined the HR Support Team and brings with her over 20 years’ experience of working in Education Administration with 10 years of this as a School Business Manager. As any BM knows this means you are a Jack of all trades! Val holds a Foundation degree in Education Administration and will be a great asset to the support team. The team describe Val as Helpful, Approachable and who has a Good sense of Humour. We love her favourite quote here in the office “Teamwork makes the dream work!” Go Val!
Rob Copley is our new SAM Software Develop. Rob is an experienced developer who has previously worked with a number of HR, Absence Management and Rota applications. We’re delighted to have Rob join us. He has a lovely sense of humour which is reflected in his favourite quote “If at first you don’t succeed then skydiving definitely isn’t for you”.

Last but by no means least, Jemma Fitton is returning to Fusion after a break working in IT recruitment for 6 years. She returns to a warm welcome and the support to launch our new recruitment service, Fusion Executive Search, which we are very excited about. Using both her experience in education and recruitment Jemma has created a tiered service provision for schools to help with the recruitment of senior leadership roles. She loves working with people and is Mum to Sophia and cat children, Percy and Patsy. The team describe her as confident, friendly, outgoing. Her favourite quote is – “Don’t take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive!”.
Our new recruitment service
We will soon be launching Fusion Executive Search offering a different approach to recruitment for the Education Sector. There will be three tiered levels so you can pick what level is right for you and your school or trust.
The First100 service is a comprehensive package offering schools a different approach to recruitment and taking all the leg work out of the process. It provides a headhunt element allowing you to approach individuals who may not be actively seeking roles. We take away the stress with this proactive service helping you to find the best candidate you can for your role rather than only considering those who submit a CV. It includes all communications and employment checks. The second part of this service supports the school to retain the employee once they have been hired. This includes helping to develop an induction plan and providing a mentor for the first 100 days who can support the employee (up to a max of 10 hours telephone support).
The next tier is Search & Select providing advertising management and provision of applications including CV shortlisting and candidate communications.
Finally you can choose our Ad only service, where we will create and post an advert for you but applications are directly managed by the school.
With our experience in education, we can provide the support that schools need to find the right candidates and ultimately result in the best experience for the school and their children.
If you would like to know more about the service please contact [email protected].
