Our Occupational Health service
Whilst we continue to live and work through a global pandemic, here at FusionHR, we have a range of services to take the pressure off you and we hope that by reaching out to us we can offer the support that is needed.
We have a number of OH physicians who can undertake Occupational Health referral appointments, currently by telephone or virtually via zoom or Microsoft teams, so you can continue to overcome any challenges you may be facing and we are finding that these methods are just as effective.
Our OH referral form enables you to be very specific about the individual you are referring and our advice sheet helps with filling out the form. The OH physicians are very experienced in dealing with school staff at all levels and give sound medical advice to leaders.
They can advise and help schools and businesses, and their employees, to establish a way forward and ultimately enable them to get back into work after ill health or to find ways to support staff who may be struggling whilst in work. The medical professionals often suggest risk assessments, websites and helplines for staff with specific needs that can help them stay in work with adjustments and can explain the expected time of recovery for specific injuries or operations and the impact on the specific individual (although everyone is very different and there are sometimes complications). Having this information can help you with future planning and enable you to make informed decisions.
How we can support your employees’ needs with counselling and coaching
Many people are experiencing anxiety and stress which has also been heightened with the COVID-19 risk. Some individuals are experiencing stress and anxiety for the first time in their lives. Some of the common themes we have found recently include employees struggling with bereavement or changes in their personal lives that is ultimately having an impact in the workplace.
A number of our clients have reported that their staff have commented on feeling ‘burnt out’. We have counsellors and therapeutic coaches who can work with employees on an individual basis with appointments arranged around their lifestyle. Employees may be juggling home schooling and work, such as managing live lessons and this can lead to added pressure that they hadn’t anticipated. Support through counselling and therapists can help employees to stay in work and manage their anxiety not only in the short term, but by making lifestyle changes, can also help them during stressful times in the future.
We have received some excellent testimonials from our Stress Less Smile More programme;
This was a much-needed boost, and has helped me to introduce mindfulness and wellbeing into my daily routine. I can use some techniques to boost myself and top up the positives and offset some of the more draining tasks.
Taking part in the Stress Less, Smile More programme has led me to really consider my thoughts and language. Knowing how to monitor and audit my environment and words has really improved my ability to regulate my stress levels. I know that I am more confident with handling my own stress as a result of the course and Nicky’s reflective questioning.
You can find out more about our Stress Less Smile More Programme here which can be run for an individual or as a group. Fusion have also designed a tailored wellbeing package for employers that includes three different workshops that target stress and anxiety management.
